Directions to Dyke House from Kington - 5 miles

Take the A44 past Kington towards Rhayader. About 2 miles after Kington you will pass the ‘Welcome to Powys’ sign. Take the next left turn (slip road - 80 yards) signed to Painscastle (B 4594). Three miles later you will arrive in Gladestry.

On entering Gladestry pass the school on your right, the road then swings to the right and you pass the Post Office on the right and the Royal Oak Pub on your left. All within a few yards. After 100 yards turn right next to the island with a bench on it, pass the Church on your left and then turn immediately left. You will see a large converted barn on the right and the gate to the churchyard on your left. The entrance to Dyke House is also here on the left between the churchyard gate and the point at which the road swings to the right.

Directions to Dyke House from Hay on Wye - 10 miles

Take the Clyro road from Hay. At the junction with the main Hereford/Brecon road turn right and immediately left into Clyro. Follow the road round to the right, past the Post office on right and Hotel on left. Very shortly you will come to a lane to the left signed Newchurch, take this. After approx 4 miles, at a junction with a phone box, turn right onto the B4594 to Newchurch and then Gladestry (4 miles).

On entering Gladestry pass a phone box on the left and almost immediately turn left uphill, pass the Church on your left and then turn immediately left. You will see a large converted barn on the right and the gate to the churchyard on your left. The entrance to Dyke House is also here on the left between the churchyard gate and the point at which the road swings to the right.
